Shady, poor-draining sites can pose a challenge to traditional lawn grass, which prefer sunny spots with well-drained soil. This mix contains 4 deep-rooting, fescue grasses and 3 nitrogen-fixing clover species that will thrive in damp, shady conditions in your region, while still toleratating occassional drought. Once established, you'll have a lush, green landscape that both people and pollinators can enjoy. This flowering lawn will grow 1 to 2 feet on its own, depending on soil quality. Leave the grass long and enjoy attracting all manner of wildlife. If desired, this Wild Lawn can be mowed down to 6". Consider mowing walking paths while keeping some areas longer for birds and pollinators.
